Rue 5-in Steel Vanity Light

The Rue 5-in Steel Vanity Light spreads 1 socket across 4-5/8", which is what gives even light along a mirror rather than one bright spot in the middle. Each takes up to 60W on a E26 base. Bulbs are not supplied.

Finish Options and Build

The body is Steel + Glass, offered in Brushed Gold and Matte Black/Brushed Gold. Overall it measures 4-5/8" wide, 16-5/8" tall, 3-3/4" deep, projecting 3-3/4" from the wall. It is ADA compliant, which matters in a hall bath or anywhere the wall is a walkway. The backplate measures D4-5/8" x E7/8".

Where This Vanity Light Works

A few places this one earns its spot. Above the mirror, centered on the mirror rather than the room, which are rarely the same point. In a pair either side of the mirror at roughly eye level, which is the arrangement that kills shadows under the eyes and chin. In a powder room, where one fixture usually has to do all the work. It is wall mounted, up or down, so confirm the orientation against your backplate before you order.
