Returns of Online Purchases – 30 Day Return Policy

At Modern Lights, customer satisfaction is our priority. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, most items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund, subject to the conditions outlined below.

If you need to return an item, please contact our Customer Support team to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed return instructions. Returns sent without an authorized RMA number will not be accepted.

If your purchase was made through a third-party marketplace such as Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or another online retailer, please initiate your return through that marketplace in accordance with their policies.

Before Requesting a Return

Please review the following return conditions:

• Returns involving damaged, missing, or loose decorative components, including crystals or glass accents, do not qualify for a refund.
• Items must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.
• All returned merchandise must be unused, uninstalled, and shipped in its original packaging, including all boxes, inserts, protective materials, manuals, and accessories.
• Products that have been installed, modified, assembled, or altered may not be eligible for return.
• Items delivered via freight carrier are subject to a freight return pickup fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount. Freight pickup appointments will be scheduled after the return request has been approved.
• Customers returning items from outside the United States are responsible for all return shipping costs, duties, taxes, and related fees unless otherwise authorized by Modern Lights.
• Special delivery services, including White Glove Delivery, may have separate return eligibility requirements and time limitations.
• Commercial, trade, and bulk purchases may be subject to separate return policies. Please contact our Customer Support team for assistance by phone or email.

Restocking Fees

Certain manufacturers and brands impose mandatory restocking fees on returned merchandise. When applicable, these fees will be deducted from your refund amount.

Restocking fees vary by manufacturer and product category and may range from 15% to 35% of the purchase price.

Any applicable restocking fee will be communicated during the return authorization process.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally not eligible for return unless damaged or defective upon arrival:

• Custom-made or special-order products
• Clearance, final sale, or discontinued items
• Products that have been installed or altered
• Items missing original packaging or components
• Bulbs, lamp shades, and replacement parts (unless defective)

Returning Your Order

1. Contact Modern Lights Customer Support within 30 days of delivery to obtain an RMA number.
2. Securely package the item in its original packaging. Include all original packaging materials, accessories, and documentation.
3. Clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the return package.
4. Ship your return using a trackable shipping method such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
5. Retain your tracking information until your return has been processed.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected at our warehouse, a refund will be issued to the original method of payment for the purchase price of the returned merchandise and any applicable sales tax.

Please note:

• Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a shipping error or product defect.
• Applicable restocking fees charged by manufacturers or suppliers will be deducted from the refund amount.
• Refunds are processed only after the returned merchandise has been received and approved.
• Merchandise must be returned in new, unused condition and in the original packaging to qualify for a full refund.
• Refund processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please notify Modern Lights within 24 hours of delivery. We may request photographs or videos of the product and packaging to assist with the resolution process.

Please retain all original packing materials, boxes, and packaging until the items have been thoroughly inspected and our team has provided a resolution in writing via email.

All items delivered via freight or white-glove service must be carefully inspected upon delivery. Any damage, defects, or concerns must be reported to our team immediately upon receipt. Failure to retain the original packaging or promptly report damage may affect our ability to assist with a claim or resolution.
